Kaitlyn Burla is a sculpture artist inspired to create by the technical aspect of clay materials and organic forms. Many of her sculpture concepts are represented through zoomorphic and anthropomorphic figures with illustrative embellishments to convey connections between humans and the animal world. Her sculptures are meant to address issues of the modern age especially those of motherhood, mental health, feminism and the interconnection of children to the world around them. Kaitlyn has her BFA in sculpture and functional art from Kendall College of Art and Design in Grand Rapids, MI. She resides in Woodbury, MN with her family.
